/biz/ I am 30 years old, have 60k in the bank, no debt but my car and I am making 60k at work.

What are some good investments to tangle with?

No student debt and have my bachelor's and master's
Unfortunately only been saving since May of 2017 when I graduated and got my masters

How long do I need to stay at a job?

I got laid off in May and started a new job in July. Not really a fan of it and I want to find another job making more.

So /biz/ I got an offer for a company that pays 10k more than my last.

Back in May I was laid off with the official reason being "departmental reorganization" but my boss was never high on me and my last performance review was a mixed bag.

Now my new employer wants to do an employment verification.Couple questions:

>Will they reach out to my old boss who will most likely hate on me?
>Is a departmental reorganization considered a layoff?
>what actually is found out in an employee verification?
