I'm trying to get something in the neighborhood of 5-10k, I'd be able to cover a sizeable down payment with some gold but I really don't want to. I could probably come up with cash somewhere else if I tried. Thing is I really want the car to last at least five years so I don't have to rape my finances to procure yet another one a year down the line. Anyone have car recommendations?
