My feeling is that its a typical "hot spot" sort of outcrop. There is a trend going North to South ish in that region that generates stunning nuggety quartz veins like that but its never been worth mining due to 99% of the vein being blank, only near surface outcrops carry high values for gold. I am thinking when i head to the Babines this summer I ll make a trip up to this spot and have a look, as well as sample the creeks. If there isnt any gold in the streams nearby, than its probably bullshit. Still pic related would blow my mind if i found it in a logging outcrop.
