For sure, I have 0 interest in buying into anything right now, as stock valuations tank in every recession as overleveraged businesses crumple during periods of high interest rates.

I completely understand this, but assets like cryptocurrencies have 0 economic output yet have massive market cap. This is an outlier sector of course, but businesses such as tech start-ups that reach billion dollar valuations with negative revenue also similarly exist.

I just cannot wrap my head around the idea of forking over so much capital to business ventures that really have no ability to generate enough revenue to justify their valuations, other than of course this being partially fuelled by inflation and tiny interest rates in part.

This entire market just feels like a big game of hot potato, or like investing in a ponzi scheme knowing what it is, and just hoping you cash out soon enough.
