At work I have to wire pumps. Each pump has 3 cables and they are 6 ft long. At most I use 2 feet per cable and discard the rest. I use a lot of these cables and produce a ton of waste. Should I start saving them? I know properly stripping them would take way too long but couldn’t I just burn them and melt all the rubber off leaving me with the copper. Then I could melt it down and pour it into one of those 5lb copper ingot molds and start stacking physical metal.
