I am a veteran of going balls deep into these kinds of "clean sweep" "full disclosure" type of conspiracy theories. In 2012 I unironically believed that the world government was going to disclose that there are ET's and they were going to do a full sweep of reforms, destroy most evils and bring on the golden age.

I am still disappointed to this day.

if youre absolutely noob, here's what I would do. I've been trading stocks, options and forex for 25 years, but cryptoes for 7 months. I don't know everything, but here goes. If you only have a hundred or so, fees will eat you up if you trade much...fees will be a bit even if you buy once, depending on your platform. But you can work hard mowing lawns or whatever one weekend and recoup your lost hundred if you lose it all, so thats not that bad overall. plus you can only lose max what you put in, and consider it an education process.
Open a bitfinex account and buy iota. you'll only get about 20-30 but its a start...get your feet wet and hold it till next year...yeah you have to be patient with that little startup monies. I like iota strictly because theres some hype behind it...thats all. i own 4200 iota and I think it can be next years biggie (upto $100?) if the hype holds up...if not, oh well, i can afford to lose it...good luck
