My dad was an Air Traffic Controller and made plenty of money, but he always talked about how he regretted not buying NVDA way back when...and that was when it was a $30 ticker.

A lot of my motivation is to at least not have that specific regret. The regret of non-participation. I probably won't find the next NVDA but I can at least get today's GE, AHS, and KO, and then swing trade/meme trade/hedge other stuff in smaller sums.

As long as I have a little dividend portfolio and at least one rental property to supplement my pension at the end of it all, I'll be happy.
