I can't speak for the rest of these but I don't think the insights of mathematics are purely ultra specialized. Studying mathematics causes you to see structures and relationships in everything. The problem is that the field of maths is so extensive that you'll never even start to scratch the surface unless you dedicate your life to studying it. But if you can accept that and lower your expectations for your self, and just pick one small part of it you want to understand, you'll find that whatever it is you choose to pursue in maths will alter the way you see things in a very satisfying way.
