To protect USD.
Crypto actively removes liquidity from the US market. Our dollars are made, then DCA'd into overseas tokens without any taxes or accountability. Also, the more crypto is worth, the less fiat is worth, which threatens the economy.
Personally, I don't give a shit. Humanity is a net zero game. Fiat and crypto will be worthless when there's nothing to eat but some hardly grown corn because the ground is irradiated.

All things considered... BTC is close to $40k. Alts aren't coming to the party, apparently.
If I were any of you, I'd pack it the fuck up and come back next March. Let this pass and even back out to pure market depression and anguish before you even think of putting so much as $100 in anything again.

Gentlemen, today I have moved my crypto holdings off my CEX and entirely into defi, due to rumors and reports that Coinbase can randomly lock accounts.
I also have Strike, and Kraken. Looks like I've got plenty of roads home.
Secure yourselves, anons.

Use Amazon gift cards to buy BTC on Bisq.
Use, I'm sure there are hundreds, someone's services to exchange BTC for ETH, not my personal choice just the conversion you're more likely to see available. Use the eth to buy whatever the fuck else you want to get into, L2 networks, defi exchanges, leverage trading...
et voila.
Knock yourself out.
>That sounds exhaustive and expensive.
yep

Crypto is the world's bank and exchange.
Your idea of it as a scam is merely your perception as a simple human being.
I let an Ai type this so you can't turn the argument against me.

XRP security is a ruse.
>no one can see any transaction
...that occurs WITHIN XRP.
What happens when USA Dan sends $1500 in BTC to an exchange for XRP?
The IRS is going to see that USA Dan just sent $1500 somewhere for nothing.
In which case, they're going to target the addresses and see that multiple people send BTC to that address, and without much research will find out that it's an XRP exchange.
So they'll know you sent it and still own it.

If the coin that never comes out finally comes out, then it can lose revenue.
...which is why it never releases. Presale forever.

Nah. Learned how to flip high tier alts against BTC and back and forth and I've replaced my job doing it. There are patterns. Coins have cliques.
>everything pumps with BTC
Not everything. There's a group that is basically just the opposite.

It's called fiat, give it a shot
See why you're short-sighted, anon?
Anyway, moving on.
How will Elon get users to prove they own different crypto addresses, tho? He could do what a lot of banks and firms do and just house his own, but then he'd technically be an exchange and subject to their bullshit laws. Better to send two transactions for proof or something.

The amount of cope in this fucking thread, of this fucking OP, is enough to make me sick to my stomach.
The sheer jealousy bleeding through every single word is absolutely cringe-inducing. I'm going to tell you right now, OP, I normally can stomach about seven shots of liquor and four beers. This, however goes down like a pint of battery acid laced with the goo you find inside of stretch Armstrong.
There are bathrooms scribbled with less overt weeping and sobbing as this horseshit.

Ledger is a private company
Trezor is a private company
No better than a bank, your money in the hands of someone else's effort and whims.
Use Metamask, use Electrum, use FOSS software and only write, don't copy, your secret phrases. Revoke permissions as you go. Keep your shit together, clean and be cautious of copying and pasting anything and NEVER type any of it.
If you want an extra layer of security, pull everything and transfer to another wallet once a year.
>but that's haaaaaaaard
None of this shit is insured and it's as secure as you make it. Your problem.
