And going back even further take a look at the big two that should jump to mind:

My point is not that they don't do well eventually. My point is that buying on IPO is utterly stupid. You are buying it completely overvalued at a price full of risk. You have no idea what kind of trend the stock will take. You have no real basis for your own valuation. That is why you are stupid for buying on IPO.
