Suddenly every motherfucker has a hot take about how Powell was akshully being super hawkish and how the market has 100% without-a-doubt priced in at least 6 rate cuts for 2024 so we're FUCKED if we don't get them. Says who? Could the assholes writing this financial "news" be any more obvious with their attempts to redirect the narrative?

I can't fucking stand days like this where the market "waits" for some sort of information to be released before violently reacting. Everyone knows that Big Money has all the information ahead of time, what's the fucking point of playing this game where everything crabs until literally the second the information is released??

Also how the fuck are semiconductor tickers doing SO BADLY throughout all of this shit? Is there a lot of short interest or something? It just makes no fucking sense to me. Inb4 "they were only up because of Fed money!!1!!" yeah okay what about the tens of billions of dollars they make from, y'know, selling useful products?

Am I dumb for only having around $1500 invested right now? I put it on a handful of medium/long plays like oil and REITs which so far hasn't been so bad. I really don't want to get reamed if things take a sharp leg down again but I also see people saying that investing so little is basically a joke
