I have been offered a lease on a high floor on a luxury Manhattan high rise for $5k/mo in a good part of the city

It's a corner unit with windows that span both walls on each side of the corner, and both sides have good views

It's a big step up from my 250sqft studio that smells like fish and has a moldy ceiling.

I really want to experience living in some kinda luxury and I have 200k link and $60k in savings.

The tricky part is I decided to go for this under the assumption I'd keep my $200k/yr job, but now I want to quit.

I want to start my own company, and I'd like to have a nice place to enjoy while I work on my own shit, too.

If the world wasn't in the middle of a coronavirus outbreak right now, I would take my 200k link and $60k savings and go travel like timo did.

So if I quit my job, I'll need one of these to continue paying for my apartment:
1. Link goes up a lot in value and stays there so living off my linkies doesn't take away too many linkies
2. I have to go back to work
3. I have to make sure I can start a business in an industry in which I have 0 knowledge or experience and make enough to pay for a $5k/mo apartment and $3k/mo living expenses after my taxes are paid.

I'm 30 and so desperate for my real life to start.

I want to have a really nice place for once.

There are other units in the same building that are nice than where I live now, and they are only $3.5k for a one bedroom, but they are like 670sqft instead of 800sqft, they don't have good views, they aren't corner units... Lower floors so they'll have the noise of traffic since this is building is a couple blocks from times square.

Maybe the $3500/mo place is the best right now?

If link moons later, I won't be able to upgrade to a nicer place without proof of income or revealing my link stack, which could be dangerous. So if I'm going to have a ridiculously nice place in Manhattan at any point, it's now or it's gonna be a long time.
