Debate me;

The late 90's will be remembered in history like the roaring 20's were. That was when the market was officially decoupled from all economic sanity and became the backbone of the US economy. Stocks grew nearly 400% over that decade, but unlike this bullrun EVERYONE was involved. Banks had just had the glass steagle act removed and they could go all in, offering ludicrous interest rates. The future only looked rosey to people, and society was the farthest removed it had ever been from actual reality as people got rich investing in anything and everything.
I also have a second opinion that this is why millenials are so fucked up compared to zoomers. Most millenials grew up and matured during the biggest wealth bubble society had ever seen, and were raised to assume that would continue. Then the bubble burst, and the reality hit home that central banks had not figured out the secret to eternal wealth. From that point interest rates only fell and wealth only became consolidated.

For all you retards saying "Muh market not duh economee" well your right, it's not. It's a tool to invest into expected future growth potential of our businesses. Currently equities are so overvalued your projected time frame for 100% return on the S&P is almost 25 years. If you sell your house right now and go all into the market, you will be expected to wait 25 years to see that money doubled. This is including expected growth for the S&P, meaning even if equity stays this overvalued all 25 years its still the same return. Does that sound like a good risk return to you?

Buying because "stocks only go up" means you are willingly misallocating your capital in the markets. Come out of babylon anon, allocate your capital where change is happening.
