Being on biz one year ago and being on biz today I can't help but notice and admit the mood is very different. The entire discussion surrounding chainlink, pre-mainnet, when it was still only theories and what ifs, research into breadcrumbs, etc. was uniquely exhilarating and deeply intellectually stimulating. It really felt like we had stumbled upon something unique with massive potential and inevitable success, and it was our own little secret. One year later, we got validated, we got rewarded, but it's still somewhat underwhelming. The entire crypto market has come to a halt, there's no new normie coming in, blockchain adoptions by enterprises is a lot slower than anticipated, and post-mainnet reality coudln't possibly compare to our wildest dreams. Intellectually all the groundwork's been done, so there's only waiting left to do now and waiting is dull and boring.

Will biz ever have another chainlink? Not just in terms of potential reward, but also in terms of how powerful and potent its collective bonding abilities were, its pure meme power, how stimulating it felt? Remember the first time you started going down that rabbit down, assembling the various pieces of the puzzle, the first it clicked for you and the lightbulb moments hit you hard, and you knew without a shadow of a doubt this one was a strong winner and you couldn't contain your excitement for months... that feeling was stronger than drugs or sex.
