the problem is that six or low seven figures isn’t a lot of money when real estate is so expensive. I don’t own any property but will inherit a house in the next few years. Even then I won’t be able to just quit my job. I’m 40 now. If I quit I’d have no insurance or have to pay for it until qualifying for Medicare. And I’d get raped for property tax each year while having little income from interest or divisions, if I stop reinvesting those. And this is all in a scenario where I have no family. People who have others to support are even more screwed.
