Many bought back in 2017/2018 after the bull run gains. I had 260k Link initially. Down to 90k after buying a couple homes and diversifying into a few other tokens along the way.

I love chainlink. All the drama, the memes, the community surrounding it, it's really something. But what I love most about it is knowing that in couple years I will be a billionaire. It's not even a 99% chance, it is quite literally guaranteed. As a result of that knowledge, I stopped showering and brushing my teeth over a year ago. There is simply no reason for me to do it when I know I'll be rich. I will be fucking whores every night and laughing as they're throwing up from my disgusting, stinky body and mouth. As they kiss me on my rotten teeth, or suck my stinky, 2 year unwashed hog. It will be quite something. In fact I am already seeing effects of my stinky adventure. Yesterday I went to a shop to buy some cheese and make a stop at McD's for a big mac and the cashier at the store was visibly gagging at the smell of me and trying to hide it. Other customers were standing like 5 meters behind me. It was truly hilarious. And none of them have any idea of my guaranteed, future riches. They must already be so jealous of me. The stinkiest billionaire ever.

Well said. Those days throughout 2018 were rough but some do the best. Watching our portfolios dump but still put together breadcrumbs was so oddly satisfying. Like we knew the whole time it was just an opportunity to buy more. The collective research into such obscure little connections was incredible. Glad to be able to share these things on here because it’s stuff you can never explain to anyone irl

I’ll likely do it regardless of the outcome of SmartCon this weekend. My current portfolio is just shy of a million, all in Link. If I sold it all I wouldn’t consider that “making it” since I’d likely have to still work or manage investments properly to generate a livable income which is also essentially work.

Anyway I started with a few BTC back in 2016, put all my savings (7-8k) into ETH in early 2017, then ANS, then Link. Random shitcoins along the way but those likely lost me money. I reckon it’s damn near impossible these days to do what you could have during the 16-17’ bull run. All you had to do is buy and hold, which is all I did. I never really traded. I thank God every day I followed the Link research here and went all in otherwise I’d still be down 80% of my ath from 2017. Instead I’m up 4x since then. My best advice is just go all in Link and hold. Save yourself the headache and potentially losing everything gambling on random shitcoins that won’t amount to anything unless Link itself takes off

It's what's going to allow ether (or any smart contract capable chain)to maximize its potential by connecting to real world data legacy systems.
