I've made lots of threads on 4chan, I mentioned you can check the archive for the other threads. I've been here a long time as a lurker and about a year ago provided threads for what I'm familiar with. (I just ran into some family issues and didn't have the time to post.) As well, I have no reason to promote what I'm talking about, it's merely for discussion purposes (as were the older threads) to help other anons as they've helped me. >>>Everything I know is available on TastyTrade's website<<< I don't know what you mean by the ads honestly. If you don't want to ask questions and don't like the thread you're free to leave, otherwise I'll answer whatever you like without any obligation on your end.

>In the long run, there is no statistical advantage in being an option writer or buyer.

From the majority of the people I've spoken to and have learned from, I have to disagree. Statistics wise that could be debatable. Trading Credit based spreads versus Debit based spreads don't carry the same characteristics and aren't the same excluding the debiting aspects or crediting aspect of your account. IV overstatement is a real thing, and I know I won't change your mind and I don't expect you to. It's my preference and I believe it's better since It's proven successful to me. I could go on but there's no point. I do understand what you're saying, I respectfully disagree and I'd recommend you take into consideration the fact that I'm not peddling anything besides what I believe to be the correct and just a preferable means to trading. As well, it's not that it's just a "superior strategy", it's a more consistent, and reliable strategy compared to buying options (Which is why I claim it to be superior as so many others). It's different aspect wise, so it's relative to what type of trader you are.

Check out Option Alpha, he's a great guy and I've talked to him a few times. We share pretty much the same ideology when it comes to trading.

Here's a good video to give you a justification of what I'm talking about

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ej_6uiQCjRE&t=343s

As well, please go over his videos explaining the basics ( a playlist he has )

Also if this thread goes down due to lack of interest (which is hopefully won't) I'll gladly make another for you anon. I only wish to help you friend. After you understand the basics, I'll be able to answer your questions with more accomplishment rather than confusion. Of course, if something you learn doesn't make sense, just feel free to ask, there is no judgement, only answers for those who wish to learn. Thank you brother.
