I personally am not redpilled on borax but I'm going to guess it neutralizes fluoride. I'm too lazy to do the chemistry though. Niacin is used in a nootropic stack as recommended by Paul Stamets, a mycologist. I suggest you read directly from him instead of just taking my word for it. Pic related Stamets with a nice growth of parasol mushrooms. I picked some earlier this autumn.
