Generally we think you should stick to copper pennies acquired at face value or opportunistic hoarding of cheap/free copper pipe and wire if you're going to bother with something as cheap and plentiful as copper. Buying grossly overpriced copper "bullion" is not advised, though in theory one might be able to recover the premiums by selling it on eBay.
