I bought my 3000 sq ft, 6br 3ba house built in the 70s on half an acre for 130K. I'm in a nice area, not the middle of nowhere. The house wasn't fancy and had some dated stuff to replace but the previous owners took pretty good care of it. I bought in summer of 2020 while the pandemic was buttfucking the local economy and driving down housing prices because nobody was buying. Now it's worth 210K and I haven't done any major renovations or improvements.
