The great depression happened because the government basically destroyed the entire economy by controlling it to death. Taxes were almost at 100%, it was the most regulated time in american history.

The depression ended when we cut all of the regulations and taxes of the depression.

The great depressions should actually be called "the time when america actually tried socialism"
