These are the countries with favorable resource and population ratios, which can rely on steady numbers of migrants to prop up their population in order to develop more. Countries which are desirable but resource poor like France and Japan, countries which are resource rich but undesirable to move to like Argentina or the Congo, countries which lack the people to use their resources like Australia or countries which are overpopulated and shit like Indonesia (and the meme ones which have none of these things, like Seychelles or Malta) are all fucked globally.

There is also mexico, the special case which has oil and uranium and lots of people to develop it and lots of land but is managed incredibly shittily, even ignoring that the USA doesn't want a 'second Japan' on their border, the USA has had to do very little to actually contain mexico since even without CIA funding the mexicans tend to join gains and commit crimes.

Now you are learning why countries historically sought to gain land, resources and population they could either assimilate or use as slave labor while increasing their own dominant ethnocultural population in number.

USA, China, India, Russia, Brazil will all do whatever they want because they have the leeway to do so. Other countries will eat shit on varying levels because they are lacking the key of having land, resources and people to develop them/large numbers of immigrants who can come in and develop them.

Essentially the Pax Mundi of the last 78 years has been a lie based on the assumption that populous but resource poor countries like Germany and Turkey should not go into business for themselves and turn the EU into an extension of the Fourth German Empire or that Turkey should not conquer Syria and Armenia and Lebanon and Anschluss Azerbaijan and make Big Turkey.
