my UserID "1 Faad Ho3" sounds like "One Fat Hoe" when you say it out loud. and it's true...it's true. Spiritually and mentally I am most akin to an overweight, middle-aged sex worker huddling under a bus stop in the freezing rain, my tiny skirt and skimpy jacket and fishnet tank top barely even covering my large belly, wishing that years ago i'd chosen a different course of action

but here i am, the sun going down and it's only getting colder, the street lights going on, rain dripping through the cracks in the bus stop and i have only myself to blame. and all i have to look forward to is getting fucked.

here's in /xsg/ we're all 1 Faad Ho3s...that's the sad truth of the matter. Just waiting for a car to come along and roll down the window so we can at least get a little warmth...

the XRPL is lichrully EF Schumacher's multilateral clearing layer + settlement and XRP is Laterally Bancor (which Keynes gets credit for but Schumacher came up with) but digital

the Powers That Be (aka IMF, Financial Stability Board and Bank for International Settlements) realized a few things after 2008 crisis/LIBOR scandal:

a) the central banking system had been rendered unstable by the unbelievable greed/corruption of the Zionist neocons who had captured governments post USSR
b) Zionist unipolar hegemony is going away and with it, the petrodollar
c) the U$D's days as reserve currency were limited
d) a transition to a multipolar global system was necessary
e) a transition to a digital economy where naked fraud posed less of a systemic threat was necessary
f) all of this had to be done in a controlled fashion, with all players (including geopolitical belligerents) playing a role, or else there would be uncontrolled collapse, nuclear war, and mass famine

so they needed to transition. if the XRP Ledger didn't exist, they would have had to invent it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNkiQasFcqM

Bitcoin, XRPL and the EVM are all part of the same continuous operation. it's all about avoiding uncontrolled collapse and giving mankind the means to face the apparently existential threats caused by "neoliberal capitalism" (aka a planetary system that's been run by increasingly centralized and powerful cabals of psychopaths for the last 5000 years or so)

i recommend Vietnam or Laos. Both are wonderful places. Vietnam if you want more developed, Laos if you want less. I'd recommend Luang Prabang or 4,000 Islands in Laos and Dalat (mountains, lake) or Danang (mountains, beach) in Vietnam.

Unrelated: I feel like we're really, really close to big changes.

you're not worried about Lagarde and Yellen and Andrew Bailey all calling for regulation of BTC that will probably crash the price? i'm bullish on BTC long-term but i think ETH and BTC are both due for a massive correction when regulation hits

new head of the OCC is a member of Ripple's Board of Directors btw

you need to be more subtle in your fleshing out of this character, anon. i understand that you are basically doing the Medieval passion-play/Victorian novel thing where this character represents everything we shouldn't do, think or be, but you're laying it on a bit thick

to respond to this particular prompt, I would say that yes XRP is favoring the legacy system (based in US, UK and EU, and its allies in Asia, Singapore and Japan) over the new upstart order that China is trying to build- however, Ripple still does a lot of business with China. One of its early backers, Alphabet (Google) notoriously works quite closely with China (but then again, also works very closely with factions within the US government)
It seems to me that Ripple are deliberately working with everyone. But, remember that the architect of the XRPL is a former NSA cryptographer. And, the very powerful people in central banks and financial institutions worldwide don't want things to fundamentally change, and certainly not quickly or violently, because that is bad for business and they want to keep making lots of money.

Also, it seems like some kind of more open conflict with China might be on the horizon, and China will fare poorly in this, and Ripple might be throwing its lot in with the side it expects to win (US, EU) as opposed to ETH and BTC which (as Garlinghouse always points out are largely mined in and therefore controlled by China)

Also, some of Ripple's good friends have worked very closely with some powerful people in the US government, even helping them write legislation about digital finance and financial technology.

checked, and bless you Christposter especially on this day of all days, the celebration of the birth of the Christ child. it was on this day that the Father sent his only begotten son to save this world and it is my honor to donate my life to that same effort by doing my level best (however flawed that may be) to emulate His son and allowing Him to work through me

>>25168122
checked, and i think one thing preventing people from putting their whole net worth into XRP right now is the sheer scale of what they are accomplishing. it boggles the mind, it defies conception. All the Money in the World. When you see it, it changes you.

As always, lots of digits in this thread. Most blessed place on the internet, I swear.
