Dotcoms and real estate but yeah, pretty much. They never let all the leverage out after the 90s bubble because it would show how much it cost us economically to win the Cold War. If you haven't read Peter Zeihan's books you should. I like XMR as a hedge for that world but also because it actually works really well as a currency. Full final settlement in 20 minutes is magical if you know how much bullshit is related to ACH or wire transfers or the stock market or SWIFT. There's no drama around "Layer 2" or "tainted coins" or "gas fees" either, it's just... money. You send it, you receive it, you move on.

Having a coin that moonfags and "institutional investors" stay away from is a feature, not a bug. Also it's no one's buisness what currencies I own and use. But thanks for the concern.
