Everyone needs to accept that the past is gone and it will never return. The best you can do is try to take some of the good things and bring them with you into the future. You must lift and improve yourself (read Bronze Age Mindset). Smart contracts and various DLT are being built atop the existing legacy frameworks and will launch us forward immensely in a relatively short amount of time. I believe this will feel even more accelerated than what you describe about the 90's. Society has stagnated immensely. Personally, I believe this is largely driven by Keynesian economic policy but the truth is that there are many factors involved. The advantage to (You) in this case would be that what is effectively your competition has been eroded for the past several decades and therefore you have that much more of an edge to win out against them. Think of all the people with weak bodies and minds. If you can unironically maintain discipline and cultivate strength they will be even less of a match to you than in an ordinary play-through. Focus on areas with new technology because the aging gatekeepers have been remarkably slow to understand and control these spaces. Not sure what zoomers will be known for yet but imo, millenials have already forked and the mainstream does not realize it. Urbit is one technology that will be attributed to zoomers and this one might actually have civilization bending implications. Imagine computing in a world where you can own your data.
