They don't need any consent or development assistance from the Chainlink team. Have you even read the thread? It will be trivially simple to implement a smartcontract that locks LINK tokens on the ERC chain and mints synthetic LINK on the ONE chain, and then burns the original LINK and unlocks the synthetic LINK.

LINK is such an industry standard competing blockchains are already rushing to implement it.
