Yeah, that's what you have to understand. When ICOs with mad hype hit the market the gains come from that hype alone. Will it be a good longterm hodl? Does it have real world application past the release? None of that really matters. Once it hits mainstream markets you'll still make 5x to 100x gains on it within a few weeks. Look at MOON. It went up to 6k yesterday after selling for 1k. Fucking MOON had 600% gains!

Whether you HODL after it hits the markets should depend on how strongly you trust the dev team, who is backing it outside of the crypto world, what techical and financial application it has on the larger picture, whitepapers and AMAs, etc.. But when going from ICO to market, really all that matters is that it has enough hype and that its not run by a scam team that will just take your ICO money and disappear.
