5% is only gonna happen if the market truly believes that rates don't matter anymore. The market will have to believe that inflation and growth will remain very high into the future and price out all rate cuts for the foreseeable future. In that case the yield curve will uninvert and the long end will go above 5%

I read it has to do with the Nasdaq rebalancing taking place the end of July. Less money flowing into megacaps and more money going to zombie corps
