wrote my first call about a week or so back for $KO March 12, 2021 for $49 a share. May make some money on my first ever call option. Only bough 1 bc this is just practice for me.

Sold out of my IP position and replaced it with SHW. Sick of the crabbing and SHW has better dividend growth, IP is spinning off a section and their dividend would essentially be cut as the new Company won’t have one.

for those of you who don’t know why I’m employed dividend growth as part of my portfolio is due to future tax efficiency and longevity.

First, I won’t need to sell any principal which means I’ll never run out of money by withdrawing in a crash. I’ll also have 1 year necessary expenses in cash in a “high yield” savings account. Second, $40K ($80K if married) is tax free federally, and that income is without any of the BS taxes you pay via w-2 or 1099.

Things can change but this appears to be the most comfy way to live the life I want. Also if BTC and ETH continue to climb, things will just get easier

desu share price of KO is irrelevant to me as long as they continue to raise and pay their dividend.

Frens, don’t get stuck in the mindset that you only have to invest a certain way. I have a divvy portfolio but I also have mutual funds that specialize in growth, emerging markets, income and real estate. What matters is that you’re making gains according to your risk tolerance.

How was everyone’s day? Up about 1.2% even with KO dumping again. Can’t wait for the KO melt up come summer.

before muh tech bros get all uppity, I probably have more invested in AAPL and MSFT than you have in your entire portfolio. The goal is to safely invest for the future. Total return is the goal, but so is keeping your money and ensuring you don’t need to sell stonks in a crash either.
