I've posted this before a few weeks ago and received some good responses, but would like opinions from weekend /smg/ because it has quality discussion.

I'm 33 years old, married, and with a first child on the way. I have zero investments but make enough to comfortably support my family with my single income. Here's my plan:

>Company 401k matches up to 3%. Contribute 3% and put it 100% into SPY (their equivalent of SPY at a 0.25% expense ratio)

>Max out HSA contributions at $7,200 per year. Set aside what I think we will need for medical expenses and child care. Invest the rest 100% into SPY.

>Max out Roth IRA at $6000 per year. 50% QQQ 50% SPY, or 100% SPY.

>Brokerage account on Charles Schwab. Higher risk tolerance and receives any leftover capital. 50% SPY and possibly 25/25 QQQ/SOXX or 50% SPY and 50% ARKK. I'm not sure how confident I am with the ARK ETFs in relation to my risk tolerance.

I have two main objectives: I don't have to work my entire life and want my children to inherit the bulk of these gains. What do you think of this plan?

>Remember when people were remortgaging their homes in 2018 chasing the rallys?

I'm interested in learning more about this.

Thoughts on ARKK as a 10+ year hold? Is Cathie lucky (TSLA), good, or both?
