could yet be fake out sale, usually larger drop starts bigger sell out as it is needed to trap longs in to their losing positions. small sell out gives too much of a chance to get out in time

I think wealth tax would be even more destructive than simply income tax. Also depends on tax brackets. Income tax is wayyyy easier to avoid. Also nowadays more international people can quickly move or buy other countries citizenships etc.

That being said, this kind of taxes will get people to vote. It is human bias unless you are in the top bracket the people will like to see the richest taxes 80% or similar, despite any longer terms effects on econonmy on such policy. And yes, these kind of taxes always very troublesome as people will simply dodge them usually it is the working class paying the higher taxes
