We don't know if the IBKR letter to the lad sayi his GME short position was abo to be force closed is legit, but what we do know is that GME is no longer able to be shorted from IBKR. You can go check this for yourself. With mooning Fees (wagmi FeeChads) this is probably becoming the case at many other brokerages as they are having more difficulty finding shares.

I think they'll try to dump it on earnings like they usually do, but I agree with you that we'll probably start to runup a lot like TSLA did. This seems pretty unavoidable in terms of actually having to supply shares rather than synthetics. TSLA was a couple months after the split that they really started mooning, and I expect the same here.
