I've been thinking about setting up a VPN service and charging people to use it. But I just ran a small cost analysis, and i don't see how it's even profitable..

I'd have to rent some space to put my server in, maybe a 1 room apartment somewhere. That's already 300-400 Euros in the city. I cannot use my current location for a server, because the internet here is slow and unstable.
Then 50-100 Euros for high speed internet. Another 50 Euros for a domain + a server for the website that advertises it (it's probably better to use separate servers for the VPN service and the website).

That's easily 550 Euros monthly. If I charge 20 Euros per month for a user, I need over 27 customers to make profit (actually more because of taxes), and over 200 customers if I want a decent paycheck of 4,000 Euros per month. I don't think one internet connection is able to handle VPN services for 27, let alone 200 customers....
I think one internet connection can provide maybe 5-10 people with stable bandwidth.
So i need dozens of internet connections. Is that even possible in one apartment? I don't think so..

Does anyone have any ideas or advice that could help? I am not worried about you guys stealing my business idea. I probably won't do it any way because it doesn't seem profitable to me.
