Correct. Long American agriculture (meat, row crops, farmland REITs) and chemical manufacturing. Also long low to mid level manufacturing in Mexico, Vietnam, The Philippines, and Columbia. Those are the nations we will turn to do to the low value-add labor since Chinese wages are now too high.

If you can't see it then its because you don't want to. China is horrifically dependent on US and Australian food imports, US farm inputs, and has to get the vast majority of their oil shipped to them via the Indian ocean. They are not secure. They are also dealing with massive mismanagement, granaries that keep mysteriously burning down ahead of inspections, and they had to cull more hogs due to African Swine Fever last year than the rest of the world has combined. They're on a shoestring right now.

They're also the fasted aging nation on earth, with 4 boomer equivalents for every 1 taxpayer. And they now begrudgingly admit they "accidentally" miscounted 100 million people on their last census. All 100 million were born since 1980, and 65 million were women of child bearing age. They don't just have an inverted demographic pyramid, its a top heavy ice cream cone at this point. China stops existing as one state by the end of the decade.

I would also recommend this excellent idea to anyone willing to work and try new things:

TENDIES: Tactical Edibles & Nutrient Delivery, Ingres, & Egrees Services
TENDIES is the revolutionary idea in food delivery services. We are the first delivery app to prioritize our business model on providing restaurant and grocery delivery services to food deserts, no-delivery zones, and anyone else in Baltimore that wants a piece.

Every TENDIES dispatch unit consists of an up-armored junkyard pickup truck with a camper. Our 3 man crews consist of a driver, food runner, and gunner. All crews are trained in small unit tactics, defensive driving, and trauma first aide. All vehicles are equipped with multiple hi-point brand pistols and carbines, plate carriers, directional spotlights, CS gas launchers, and CB radios. In larger cities, we have close air support (CAS) available from super Tucanos.

Our payment app is set up to accept payment in SNAP, WIC, and local food stamp benefit equivalents, day one. Don't trust your food delivery to the amateurs: when it counts, get TENDIES.

Based AF. Have you started to look at what credit cards to apply for? I've looked into line of credits in the past but these 0% APR deals blow them out of the water.

I'm thinking of this gambit and going a little physical, a lot SILJ, and a lot crypto.

You may have a point about the multiple property holders being low risk targets. Who is going to advocate on their behalf? The AARP? Certainly not Joe 6-pack. American may be the land of temporarily embarrassed millionaires but they aren't THAT embarrassed. We complain all the time about how participation trophies and 'everyone's a winner' mentality hurt kids growing up, but I wonder if you could apply the same idea to investing? You really had to try if you wanted to lose your shirt investing since the 1960s. Obviously, if you went all in beanie babys, dotcom stocks, or Enron you lost, but assuming you just didn't take a wild risk and let a manager handle your money, you were fine. You have entire generations of people that don't think its possible to lose in real estate, or bonds, or stocks, so why would they ever want PMs as a safe haven? Safe haven from what, making risk free money?

We are going to see a serious spike in suicide.
