Explanation for noncoiners: LTC started as a scam, it didn't steal the name, but it stole all of the BTC code, it was a copy paste of BTC with a new ledger so Charlie Lee could mine all the cheap cheap coins, and only later it turned into a legit coin because it was endorsed by the all powerful company in control of BTC.

If they ID it is okay just make sure not to do it again for 6 months. They take your ID sometimes because it is a high end product so if they see your returning any other high end product afterwards they can have suspicion. Your name stays in the system for 6 months but just because they put your name in doesn't mean you are fucked, you are still good to go.
