I have a garden already with chickens and am getting goats this spring and maybe a dairy cow and a calf. I went to a few local greenhouse farms here and took their last years plastics (they just throw them away) so I've got more then enough.

Have few pounds of tobacco leaf shredded already plus 1 lb of snuff tobacco since it lasts forever and goes a long way like 1 gram can last a week.
Have wine stored as well from brewing last year.

I used to make 80k a year and my wife 30k a year but we had two car loans, and credit card debt. I left the army, cashed out my pension and made investments then cashed it all out put 20% on a house, sold both cars and paid off remainder of loan left and bought a SUV cash.
Wife's family are retired greenhouse so when I left the army she got laid off so we spent 1 year living at home rent free and banked some more money. I worked a shit job making 25k a year and went to college and had our first child all at once but it paid off and got a good entry job doing what I love.
Realized with a wife at home we saved a lot of money, no day care, home cooked meals from food we grew for very cheap and I started hunting again and already was into sport shooting and reloading.
No second car insurance or tires or gas and mileage and maintenance saved money.
We both dont party but I do grow my own cannabis for night time to relax.
Buy our clothes used, especially child clothes you get good quality clothing in great condition for a tenth of price.
