If a stock trades throughout a period making lower highs while heading down to the same level(s) of support it's a descending triangle, a bearish indicator. Once the price approaches the end of the triangle it will usually break the support and dump lower in price. Easily identifiable by seeing it make lower highs in each run throughout today's trading.
