I spent 8 months living in my car, trying to visit all 50 states. reached 29. I spent $2,400 on gas alone. that year I spent about the same as other years ~ 23K.

it was an unforgettable experience that i wouldn't trade for anything. it's addictive and cures your depression, but it's also a huge pain in the ass that i hated.

the biggest thing i got from it was gratitude: after having to wipe your taint with wet wipes in the back of your car, you come back home and appreciate having a soft bed, and having a private bathroom across the hall from your bed. Paying $800 a month for rent seems reasonable after that, and so does working in a cubicle.

Why would anybody use cash at a place they accept credit cards, though? You're legit ripping yourself off because there's a bunch of free credit cards out there like the Costco Capital One Mastercard that give you a huge cheque at the end of the year just for using it, instead of cash. Pay it off right away and I've never paid a cent in interest.. Cash blows massive chunks and the only place I use it is to buy dope or at the peeler club

I'm thinking about starting an apprenticeship in Boilermaking (Welding and fabricating). I'm 30 and currently work in a comfy operating theatre orderly job. I've completed an apprenticeship before and want to use my hands again. Thoughts on this line of work? Also 20k linklet.
