Counter point - We are entering a recession and the first things people will look to cut from their budgets are subsciption services that they don't use, don't use much, or can replace with free alternatives.
Sure a lot of normies don't know how to pirate, but a lot of them also have multiple subscription services - disney+, Netflix, Paramount+. Hulu, HBOmax, Prime video. They will trim down to just 1 maybe 2, or swap to free alternatives like roku, pluto tv or pirate streaming sites they find by typing "series name free stream" into google.
The only strong case Paramount has going for it over other streaming platforms is their audience skews older and their content is less aggressively woke
