Can anyone gives tips on how to get out of credit card debt? The balances and interest on mine are too high and at this rate I’ll never pay them off so I’m just wasting about $1000/month treading water. I’m so fucking stupid I know but I just want out. Every time I Google how to dig my way out I mostly just see scams for people wanting you to shell out even more money for them to fix it. How do I do it myself? Should I say fuck it and get a weekend job? Can I call them and ask for a lower rate? For reference, it’s about $30,000 in card debt and my credit score is fair, usually around 630. I was paying a little extra for a while but my rent just went up 30% and ate any leftover funds from my paychecks.
