Shit FUD
It may work on those that can't look past
>muh swift
but the use of public blockchains will greatly outweigh any private permissioned chains.
An entity like Swift should have a private permissioned blockchain. If their goal is to simply migrate to blockchain tech, they will essentially be adding it as a layer on top of their existing infrastructure. The obvious benefit being little to no change in operating costs for their clients, along with limited, if any, downtime dealing with the integration. They want to be able to maintain their standard without re-inventing the wheel, and banks sure as fuck don't want to experiment. They gladly pay for what works. Besides, what the fuck financial institution would want/trust a public ledger for their transactions? Think about all the literal sweep under the rug shit that goes down with banks. They NEED to be privatized. If all banks ledgers were public, even if completely immutable, there would be blood in the streets.

On the converse, in terms of contractual agreements and claims, a public ledger is the only way to go. Both parties need it public in order to establish trust, because the private aspect is precisely how trouble arises. Couple a public immutable ledger with decentralization and a choice of data providers/oracles for you to leverage the value of your contract, and you have established all you need in order to successfully maintain terms.

This little dip didn't do shit to my optimism, especially after what we experienced in Jan. We're still on track become the only crypto with a use-case based in reality. Hold the line frens.
