Why is the Bitcoin system designed so that peers have to compete with each other for blockspace?

How is this going to be future money if the costs of doing transactions for individuals and businesses are not only high, but dynamic? Or in other words the expected price to do transactions on Bitcoin is only going to increase.

I also don't understand the lightning network. If the plan is to use payment services then why bother using Bitcoin at all in the first place? You still have a middle man dealing with your transactions and watching for fraud so you've effectively achieved nothing but a headache. Secondly since payment processors become required on Bitcoin for individuals and businesses to use in any reasonable capacity there is no incentive to hold the Bitcoin yourself. It's going to cost me a bunch of time and money to get it to my wallet and even more to get it out of my wallet. I'll just leave it, well with a fucking bank.

This technology is fake and fucking gay.

Undeniably correlated with trad market performance. Complete failure to deliver on its "hedge against collapse" purpose. Despite all the "buy bitcoin" bullshit I see posted in response to doomer prophesying, this continues to collapse at an alarming rate, and alts are doing even worse.

The absolute STATE of crypto.

Bitcoin was designed to free people from centralized banking and the pump and dump cycle we're seeing unfold in trad markets right now.

Yet as that scenario unfolds, and despite BTC being a mere 2 months from halvening, BTC is dumping through all supports and collapsing at a rate even worse than trad markets are. And this despite it NEVER recovering from ATH in 2017 - an 800+ day period during which trad markets soared to new ATH over and over again.

Let that sink in.

BSV is going to settle around .0145-.015 for a day or two before launching to .021-.022 and then pulling back to .0173-.0177. Where it goes from there is anyone's guess.

There STILL are people to this day that believe a full node is something you run on a raspberry pi. These same people actually believe their raspberry pi helps to decentralize the network.

These idiots don't realize I could run one of these nodes with a two gigabyte blocksize Bitcoin in my RAM because they've literally never read the whitepaper.

BTC's difficulty adjusts upward 2.81% in 5 and a half hours. BCH is currently 1% more profitable to mine according to Fork.lol

This probably doesn't mean anything at all, but I want it to mean BCH is bitcoin. Suck nuts corecucks.
