>I feel like I've seen your spot before, in a movie
Might have been in that shitty "sound of music" movie you burgers are so obsessed with.

>anon panned that iron hat
Also found the head that's wearing that hat, don't worry.
Though, unlike about every valley in that region, this one doesn't have any historic gold mines in it and there's also no deposits indicated in the geologic map. However, there's some myths and tales about how the copper mine in that valley also produced gold and silver. Given that this mine ruined quite a few men, I kinda doubt it, but it doesn't need a PhD in Geology (though it kinda helped in this case) to assume that theere might be some trace gold associated with the Cu ores. Now I just need to find some that's worth more than 2 cents-

>that was some slick panning to catch pyrites though
How was that slick? Pyrites are easy to pan, you just don't have to be an idiot.

I guess getting a pin pointer could be a cheap-ish way to see if there's any nuggets, if I'm focusing on one crack at a time. Of course tiny stuff like pictured won't be "visible".
Tempted to just say >fuck it and head over to aliexpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32846881121.html

Anyways, I finally cleaned my measly concentrates from that creek. It's tiny, but it's quite nice. Really gotta see what else I can find.
