I remember my first software dev job in Bulgaria, half my team was Englishmen who had stayed at the same job for 30 years.
My second job also involved a half-Bulgarian half-English team, and I literally netted more than my English boss (3.5k euros after tax). After rent (mine was 300 euros) I had double his money left over.
You can literally build more wealth as a codemonkey if you just move to Bulgaria and Romania, let alone Dubai or the States, but half the English wagies I've seen were expecting to never change their job in their lifetime, which I find incomprehensible.
