I was talking to our zoomer interns about games they play and they talked about horror co-op so I asked if they played left4dead.
>be me
>30 years old
>talking to zoomer interns about games they play
>they mention they love horror co-op games
>"oh cool, have you played left4dead?"
>"nah, I don't play that boomer shit"
fuck bros, I was not prepared for that, getting old sucks

I sold 95% of my ICO coins within a few weeks of them being released.
I had 36k coins in my wallet.

Bought 36k from ICO for 14eth, traded 35k for 20 eth. Held 1k, only because I liked the memes.
I don't think I ever could have been convinced to hold all of it because flipping ICOs was my bread and butter and I saw every other ICO coin fall 99%, but it hurts to look back at what could have been.
Traded away the equivalent of 1.75million at ATH, all for a 6 eth profit.
OOF
Only cope I have is that I probably would have sold before ATH, but here I am still waging 6 years later.

as soon as i turned 18 i was told
>you're either in school or you're paying rent to live here!
eventually graduated and moved out on my own into an apartment
years later i'm looking at houses but everything is too crazy expensive even with a 200k down payment
even making 90k/year i still can't afford a house
visiting parents and we get on the topic and i explain my situation
parents have a massive backyard
mom mentions they are trying to get it divided and that maybe i can build a 2nd house there
dad jumps in and says they should sell it on the market
markets are insane in the area and the land alone would go for 500k+
i wouldn't be able to get a mortgage to buy on the market (banks more strict for empty land) and i mention that
dad just shrugs his shoulders
(pic related) mfw.jpg
tfw dad would rather get some randoms living next to them rather than help me and be comfy family neighbors
they have a $2m house paid off, good pensions, lots of retirement savings
they've already made it yet still would rather put more money on their existing moneypile rather than help their children get a leg up
i get that's a lot of value but idk i don't even have kids yet but I feel like if i was in their position i'd do it to help my kid and so i could see them more often
anyway i'm looking at retiring early in another country within the next few years now, maybe somewhere in SEA
why pay a million dollars for a house and work 30 years when i could just move and not have to work ever again

I've noticed similar takes in this board, I think it's just a result of zoomers not having a hope for a healthy financial future. Even with 12k they wouldn't have a chance at owning a house or retiring anytime soon- they'd have to commit to being a wagie for 40hrs a week for the rest of their life. So blowing money in their mind has the same end result, except you get to enjoy a pleasurable weekend before you spend the rest of your life in misery.
In some sense it's rational, at the same time it's pessimistic, doomerlike, but this is what growing up in our nations results in.

Cheapest detached home in the suburbs around me is 500k, a decent place is 550k but lets go with 500k.
I have 80k in crypto, 110k in investments/cash.
At a 2% mortgage rate my monthly mortgage payment is $1693 at 20% down. Because of my income, the banks won't give me a loan until my payment is under $1500/month.
That means I'd have to put down 150k, selling more than half my crypto (because I'd have to pay taxes on it as well), just to wage for the next 25 years to pay for this 50 year old house.
This shit is so gay

craig caught lying in court. claimed to have sent an email in 2012 but signature shows 2014 https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D4S_VdgXoAEfltn.jpg
craig is a liar and I'm tired of his shit stinking up the board

>Andresen says an administrative assistant working with Wright left to buy a computer from a nearby store, and returned with what Andresen describes as a Windows laptop in a "factory-sealed" box.
There's no way they could have prepped a laptop beforehand and plastic wrapped the box again, I for one completely trust known liar craig and anyone working for him
> They installed the Bitcoin software Electrum on that machine. For their test, Andresen chose the message "Gavin's favorite number is eleven." Wright added his initials, "CSW," and signed the message on his own computer. Then he put the signed message on a USB stick belonging to Andresen and they transferred it to the new laptop, where Andresen checked the signature.
There's no way he used one of the dozens of USB vulnerability to modify the laptop to give the intended result, I for one completely trust known liar craig
>"It’s certainly possible I was bamboozled," Andresen says. "I could spin stories of how they hacked the hotel Wi-fi so that the insecure connection gave us a bad version of the software"
There's no way hotel wifi could have been hacked, they are the most secure wifi networks, and known liar craig wouldn't do that

yea it's broken because it means once you're rich enough you'll never run out of money and you'll always get more money faster than most hard working wagies
the joke is it takes a lifetime of work for wagies that want to escape from waging to reach that level of wealth (with few exceptions), so once they do reach it they no longer have the youth to enjoy it
