Most of the shit here outside of top 50 are unironic scams. Huge gains get posted because there's no liquidity on whatever exchange they are on. Last year in the defi wave, the latest and greatest scam was creating a coin with intentionally low supply and low liquidity, shill it everywhere, watch it pump 30x then remove all liquidity (all of the shitcoin + ETH, which is what they really wanted). Boom, price collapses from up 30x to zero instantly, and there's no longer a market to even trade it on. They then turn around and run the stolen ETH through a mixer to make it untraceable. Use that ETH to initiate liquidity on the next scam, repeat. Perhaps the greatest of all liquidity scams was picrel.

My take: yeah, you can make quick money doing it if you get in and get out quick (only works with small money, too). You can just as easily get rugpulled and essentially have been robbed of whatever you put in. Some people had success with it (generally, oldfags), most just lost everything (generally, newfags).

With that being said, there are huge opportunity coins out there that aren't scams, but they are buried under piles, and piles, and PILES of shit. Even if you find the little non-scam starter, it is still massively risky, so don't ape. If you really want to go down this path: figure out how to use uniswap. With ETH fees being as high as they are, it probably isn't even worth it at this point (probably why all the scammers packed bags and left, too). You have been warned.
