Why would they need to keep raising? We've had some cpi come down so far. If they keep going theyll over correct. Keeping it at 5% or so will have it all wrapped up by end of year.

This. If you are even halfway decent you can retire with several million. It will just take longer if you are in a bad job. All these people with no money are just idiots with no self control. Theyre not even human in a way. Theyre animals that follow instinct. Just browse and personal finance site. Couples making 150k and still cant find money to pay off student debt.

Credit cards are a trick by them to make you feel good when they add all sort of merchant fees, card processing fees, payment processor fees and network fees.
Instead of a can of beans costing $1.00, it now costs $1.13 with all the fees included but stores mark it up to $1.27 so that they can make a profit.
If you don't pay by credit card, you still pay $1.27 without the rewards and if credit cards didn't exist, you would only pay $1.00 for a can of beans since you cut out all the other fees.
