The rna editing is done on the virus. They genetically change a mostly harmless cold virus that can’t reproduce and add covid features to it. Specifically covids rare spikes. That way your immune system attacks the spikes and learns to deal with them. At no point do you get edited, just the original virus.

RNA virus vaccines have a poor history of being effective in humans for unknown reasons (they work well in animals) but they are significantly safer. So if Pfizer has a effective one, that’s fantastic news.
