Anyone score any awesome deals lately? Unfortunately he never updated with the total weight but the anon who bought those 2 big heavy lidded solid sterling serving dishes made by Lionel Alfred Crichton in London in the 1930s for $65 each probably got one of the best deals I've seen all year, I'm guessing 3 to 5 kilos so well less than $2/ozt asw if not under $1/ozt. I'm still jelly.

>We get it that you got the cheapies. Why rub it in our faces?

Frogbro and I have been trying to educate anons about cheapies for a long time, he wasn't bragging or gloating just giving an example of the deals that can be gotten pretty regularly to encourage anons to keep their eyes open.

>how much does this bowl weights?

Hey frogbro, I found the bowl over a year ago at an antique mall but like the picture because it shows the dealer's ignorant description and low asking price at $1.13/ozt asw. 352 grams of Danish .826 silver made in 1951 per the hallmark, one of many pieces I am keeping intact in the hoard instead of having refined.

>do you send it off to get it refined and smelted into bars and if so are there reliable places for it?

Yes.

Sorry to hear fren, do you have any ARC thrift stores around you in Colorado? For whatever reason they frequently get and sell cheap sterling, I don't really bother with goodwills when I'm in state but always check the ARCs if i have time, got this 257g sterling dish for 3.99+tax at one in Denver several weeks ago, and checked one in Ft Collins last week when I was picking up bars from the refinery. I didn't find any silver, but later that same day a scrapperbuddy checked the store and got about 20 ounces of Egyptian .900 silver for $21, barely missing the 'tards stock it on the shelf made me butthurt lol but you can't get it all.

Picked up this sweet hand hammered J. Tavara .925 dish at the first thrift store of the day, $4.31 with tax for 257 grams, about $157 melt value. Also got some heavy cheap pewter for the hoard. Good luck hunting down the cheapies frens.
