I don't think you understand it. When the word "flat" is used it's not referring to a completely straight line. It never was. Try thinking a little bit. Also it gets mentioned all the time that once the price drastically moves out of the channel, it always moves back to it. This is nothing new. It's already happened multiple times on the chart.
